A tactical strategy RPG, this game has a hex-based grid on which fights are held. There are quite a lot of job classes and customization options, which are certainly helpful for the wide range of mission objectives in this game. During this game, it is up to you to keep the world of Filgaia from turning into a wasteland and to keep the kingdom from falling—neither of which are easy tasks, of course. This RPG can be very challenging, taking up many hours of your gameplay time

This RPG features cell-shaded 2D graphics in gorgeous, vibrant colors that look absolutely amazing on the PSP system. Popolocrois is a classic fantasy game with wonderfully characters and an old-school battle system. The animation included for the storyline is very charming and makes this game a great choice for RPG fans of all ages.

The demons seem to be returning to the floating island of Riviera, but the gods of Asgard are no longer present. Your task, as you play this JRPG, is to play as Grim Angels Ein and Ledah—along with various other characters—on the quest to evoke the Retribution to destroy Riviera. Beautiful graphics and sound, as well as the in-depth story, make this game hard to put down.

Most RPGs have great warriors or heroes as main characters; this game has an 11-year-old boy who leaves the real world to travel on an extraordinary journey. He faces many daunting challenges that enable him to grow as a traveler. The original storyline and enjoyable features make this traditional JRPG quite entertaining.

also more other games by xceed are pretty good too... Valhalla Knight 2 being one of those games, its also a RPG that should have made this list! Valhalla Knights 1&2 had great stories and good grafx of the time... 2 was the better one obviously, you could create and customize your character, change gear, change characters later on, earn new races to play as later on, and the massive party battles were pretty cool too made it more of a mini war then a battle.

An updated version of the 1997 game Final Fantasy Tactics, this turn-based strategy game features new storyline elements and tons of ways in which you can organize your team, develop abilities, and assign powerful jobs. This role-playing game could be described as somewhat odd—but that is what makes it such fun. Play as the prince of darkness, who uses any means necessary to rule the netherworld. You are assisted by a variety of customizable characters, including penguins and monsters. The open-ended structure of this strategy RPG allows you to build up characters as you like and even continue playing after the main quest has been completed.

If you enjoyed Final Fantasy VII on the PS1, you are going to want to play this game. The storyline takes place 7 years before the events in FFVII and stars Zack, who was in flashbacks in the PS1 game. This game, however is an action RPG—and a fantastically fun one at that. The graphics are some of the best on the PSP, the gameplay is addictive, and the storyline is fulfilling

this is on my top 10 as #1 and for good reason... it had great grafx a truly in-depth story that really at times had you on the edge of your seat even tho you probably already knew the story line... the battle system was very good and made the game what it was an ARPG and damn there was alot of action... it was a great addition to the FFVII saga... it would have been nice to see all FFVIIs make it to PSP tho such as a VII remake and a Dirge of Cerberus and Before Crisis port as well

If you enjoy customization, you will love this RPG because you get to create your own main character. Choose a hero or heroine and select the voice, class, and more. You also get to customize many other items throughout the adventure. And, you will see characters from the other Tales series of games. With over 300 quests, world-saving dilemmas, and action combat scenes, this game is a worthy entertainment choice

its a good game for customizations but if thats what your going on then this list is wack! what makes a good RPG is story grafx and amount of quest and playtime... character customizations are only a plus

and if you say what u say about this game then you should have added Gods Eater Burst and it should be above this game i think... it had customizations a lot of missions and better grafx ...but for games like this id say monster hunter would top it off with complete customization that you dont just buy but have to work for the materials for, great grafx, a lot of quests and a crap load of side quests and addition things to do such as fishing, gardening, cooking, mining, and bug catching, also you could create traps ammo and a lot of other crap to help you on your hunts in all honesty Monster Hunter beats any RPG to date even FF sure it has a lack of story but thats because you dont play through a preset story made up for your character... your character is you so you make the story as you go on your way to becoming a top rank hunter... its not like a FF where you start at A and eventually get to B ...you start at A and eventually get to Z

I don't think this game deserves to be in the number one spot since it has a weaker story than the other ones.

becuz its a top 10 of good PSP games, not a top 10 of games that coulda been good... sorry but P3 for PSP sucked it was a lousy port... not even really a port cuz if it was a port we wouldnt have gotten that BS Digital novel crap! granted the nighttime dungeon play was the same as the PS2 version and was great, the daytime school (Digital Novel) part was horrible and overall ot killed the desire to continue playing the game... if you liked P3portable u shoulda tried Fate/Extra whole game was 3D(no 2D Digital Novel part) and it had kinda the same concept of P3
