We all have a passion in our lives, one we wish we could spend all of our time on rather than going to work. Have you ever wanted to start your own crafting company? eBay store? Perhaps open a photography studio? It doesn't have to get big for you to do well! Just to say "I own my own business, I am my own boss, and I work my own hours" is completely worth it, to so many people!
We've all seen those commercials, from Sham-wow to Snuggi, and thought "I could have made that!!!". I can't tell you how many inventions I personally have and want to get out there one day! Not only would we be making our own lives easier with the product of our genius, we'd be reaping the benefits with every commercial! Not to say everyone is genius with it.. there are many things I wouldn't want my face to be logo of. Pet Snuggis being one of them!
We all know the feeling of not having free reign somewhere we live. Always wondering something along the lines of "Not sure if mom/dad/grandma/landlord would want me to do that..". Wouldn't it be fantastic if we could all paint, renovate and decorate just the way we wanted to, exactly when we wanted to? With our own place to call home, we take on a new sort of responsibility that no one else has say in. It's a wonderful feeling, one I can't wait to have one day!
Most of us go through our lives with our minds set on how many, their names, how far apart in age, etc. Others of us don't want children at all. There comes a point in everyone's life though, where they long for that meaning in their existence. It may be to have someone to love you unconditionally, to never be alone or have an empty house, or simply to keep your family name going. Being a good parent is the hardest job you will ever have, but the most worthwhile one!
It seems like most of us spend our entire grade-school career just looking forward to getting out! Why would we ever want to go to school electively? For the degree, a good job, better pay, priority in a stack of applications, and the title! Can you imagine going to school so long that you are being referred to as "Doctor"? It seems like it would take an eternity, but those years are only a minute in this lifetime compared to the benefits of what they would be earning you! I have a hard time accepting that people would go to school their entire lives and risk never getting a career that's income could cover their student loans, but that's what some people are all about! I would love to have that amount of determination.
Most of us like to believe that there is someone out there for all of us. It's not rare to hear about girls that have been dreaming of their wedding day since they were children, or men choosing their profession according to what would best suit a family man.
Though not all of us end up finding that "one", and many people these days find their one, two, and sometimes three someones, we all want to spend at least a part of our lives loving and being loved. Sharing our days with someone can make them so much easier and worthwhile!
I can't tell you how many times people have said to me "You should write a book, that was great advice!". I've always thought I should leave that to the "professionals" (i.e. someone that has gone to school for.. well, writing books). Now that I think about it more, though.. why not leave behind a book full of my life-applicable advice, from my own life's experiences? Could it really be that easy? Well, of course not! But the fact that I could get my words out there, to people all over the continent if not the world, I would hope I could reach many people's lives long after I'm gone!
I know you've seen all of those live news reports, ball games and talk shows that there are people waving and shouting furiously, holding signs to the camera saying "Hi Mom!". Why is it that we all want to be on TV? Possibly just for being seen my millions of people, if not to simply be able to say "That was me! I was on TV!". The only thing I can imagine NOT wanting to be on TV for, would be a crime. Other than that, it would be pretty cool to have my face come across several someone's screens somewhere!
Whether it's for the rush of the ride up or the thrill of the fall, this is a common task to be found on everyone's bucket list. Perhaps it is because it feels almost supernatural- the closest we'll ever get to flying. Or maybe they one would feel as if they'd cheated death as soon a their parachute opened. I can't say for sure, but considering that 80+ year old people have made sure to go skydiving before their time, I would think that whatever the reasoning behind it is, is a big one!
Ever heard the phrase "So much to see, so little time"? I have come across such a great number of people who have always lived in the same state, if not the same town!
If you think about it though, there's no time NOT to see things! If you live in the United States, your specific state of which you reside already has SO much to offer! Take Florida for example. If you travel to the Florida Keys, you will experience the island life as well as be able to visit the southernmost point of the United States! Move up a bit north of the islands, and visit the Everglades- an ecosystem that no other in the world can compare to! Go into Miami and you will feel as if you've traveled to a different country, if not planet! A little further north and you ahem the historical Disney World, and just north of that the oldest city in America- St Augustine! That's only 8 hours, and there is so much in-between that you could see as well! Just take the plunge and make the trip- you will never regret it!
